Kellysearch and Shoal – the perfect online match

kellysearch.co.uk is a leading business-to-business online search engine directory.

Objective: To develop the online marketing pages of the Kellysearch.co.uk directory website in order to make them more distinctive and visually appealing than the core directory which has a functional style.

The aim of this section of the site was to inform users and potential advertisers of the history of Kellysearch; why they should use it as a key part of their advertising mix; what other services it could provide; and how to use the online directory.

Solution: We based the marketing pages on the existing home page, taking the essence of the existing graphic forms but developing them further to create a more visually striking navigation and menu system. We introduced a set of strong identifying graphics to represent each of the different marketing sections, which could also be used for supporting offline advertising and promotional activity. A clean and simple page grid system was created with a clear on-screen hierarchy, resulting in a very attractive and user-friendly marketing section.

On a slightly different tack, using Flash software, we produced a short sequence for another section (How to use Kellysearch) to help users get the most out of the Kellysearch website.

Effective: Our solution is a very strong, distinctive and modern website that the marketing team use on a daily basis. The developed sections have been welcomed by the field sales team and are regularly included in media packs and online presentations.
